Bishop Transition Committee Organizing Meeting
The BTC holds its first meeting to begin the process of organizing themselves according to ECCT’s Canons.
Information Gathering
The BTC works to gather information from listening sessions and conversations across ECCT. This information will be used to create the Profile
Applications Open
The Profile created by the BTC goes live. Applications are open.
Applications Close
First Round of Interviews
The BTC reviews the applications and completes a first round of interviews with applicants remotely.
Discernment Retreat with Candidates
The BTC hosts a retreat for the chosen Candidates.
Committee Nominees Announced
The slate of Committee Nominees is announced, opening up a 10-day period (ends April 14) for Petition Candidates.
Meet and Greet Week
Meet and Greet opportunities across ECCT with the slate, comprised of Committee Nominees and (if applicable) Petition Nominees.
ECCT Special Election Convention
A special election convention is held in order to elect the next bishop diocesan of ECCT.
Consent Period
Consents are secured from The Episcopal Church’s bishops and dioceses.

A celebration as the 16th Bishop Diocesan of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut is consecrated.
